Preparing Filming for Sharp White
We had a lot of preparing to do before we started filming.
Storyboards- We had to create a storyboard that was relevant to our chosen genre, we would then use this storyboard step by step to film Sharp White.
Script- We had to create a script so we knew what was going to be said. The movie was basically silent but there was an emergency phone call at the beginning, so that was scripted.
Location- We all had to agree with a suitable location to film Sharp White, after a group discussion we all agreed we would film at Jasmines house as it was a suitable location.
Props- We had to find 3 masks for our film, after an hour of asking around the school we finally come across three masks in the Drama Department, we asked if we could borrow them for filming and the answer was yes so we could tick the box for props.
We also needed scar wax (to create a real looking, fresh and deep scar!) and fake blood...Jasmine sorted this out and ordered it online and it was worth it as it looked brilliant and very realistic!
When we would film- We all had to agree on what days we would film Sharp White. After a small group discussion we came to a conclusion...we would film for several hours within a two day period and thats all the time we needed.

Sharp White Script
Sharp White Script
The only talking in Sharp White was the emergency phone call, this is how it went...
Jasmine- 999 whats your emergency?
Me- *Breathing heavily*
Jasmine- 999 whats your emergency?
Me- She's dead! She's dead!
Jasmine- Sir, where are you?
Me- Help me, please help me, I think their still here!
*phone gets cut*
Jasmine played the voice of the policewoman and I played the voice of the victim.
*The phonecall was recorded on shannon's mobile phone and then transferred and edited onto our film.

Editing Sharp White
When it came to editing our film shannon was in charge as she knew exactly what she was doing. The rest of our group often used iMovie to try and get used to it but we left the main editing with Shannon as she has had previous experience with iMovie. We all contributed with the editing in Sharp White by giving our views and opinions and how to make the film look better with a soundtrack, sounds and adding writing with a font. Keira chose the music and sounds for Sharp White, the sounds were originally on iMovie but she explored online to find other sounds/soundtracks, sadly we couldn't use any from online as you had to pay for them.
Sharp White is now fully edited with jump cuts, sounds, and music playing quietly in the background along with a title and subtitles. The whole group are pleased with the editing and how our short film 'Sharp White' turned out like.

Mistakes We Made While Making Sharp White
Mistakes We Made While Making Sharp White
We made a few mistakes in the making of sharp white. We filmed certain scenes several times as we could not get the acting and the movements right. Apart from them certain scenes the filming ran smoothly and fairly quickly, and only took several hours to film within a two day period. After we completed filming we found we had to film extra scenes to make our film look better and make more sense. After filming extra scenes we had to re-open iMovie and add them into our final film which didn't take much time.

Making Sharp White
Making Sharp White
Our group met twice after school one week, we all expected it to take longer
than two nights to film all the shots. Some of our shots were outside; this was
difficult to do as the weather was so unpredictable and on the first day of
filming we were out in the rain. We worked around it and even had our
camera-man to hold an umbrella to keep the camera dry and to prevent damage to
it.
We all
enjoyed filming and making the opening sequence to 'Sharp White', it was a new
experience to all of us and we were surprised to find that it was more to it
than the continuity sequence says.
We all learnt how to be more creative with our shots. We changed some
of the shots from our storyboard, as we thought some shots would look
better in a different way. So we tried both and then compared them to see which
shot looked better.
